Applying Vinyl Letters

To apply these computer cut high performance pre-spaced vinyl letters you'll need:

Your letters are sandwiched between a transfer tape (top layer) and a paper liner (bottom layer).

  1. Trim the excess edges of both layers in a straight line above and below the lettering.

  2. Clean the surface on which you will apply the vinyl.

  3. Layout and position all of the lettering (all layers) in their approximate positions, then measure for equal spacing and straightness.

  4. Now use the masking tape to tape your cut edge to the material surface, along the entire length.  The tape will act as a temporary hinge so you can now flip over the letters and slowly peel away the paper liner which will expose the adhesive backing.

  5. Thoroughly spray the exposed adhesive on lettering and transfer tape.

  6. Lay the wet side onto your material and begin to squeegee (from the masking tape edge) all of the air and solution out from under the letters.  The solution will enable you to reposition letters if they are not where you want them to be.

  7. Now slowly peel back the transfer tape on a sharp 180 degree angle to expose the letters.

  8. Using the leftover paper liner, put it on top of the finished lettering and give them a final rub down and press hard.
